Shot on an iPhone X at 15 years old, I directed and acted in “Young and Menace.” A group of friends and I used two flashlights and a dark house to create this psychological thriller. Its strength: compelling tone and making no budget seem high production. Billie Eilish may or may not have been inspired by this film in her music video “Bury a Friend” released one year after this.
